Now with eyes!

The pups are 17 days old in these photos. Eyes are open, and ears are starting to flick around too!

Note: I can't tell Sam and Rain apart in pics, so I likely am getting their pics all muddled up. Apologies to Sam and Rain.

Puppies at 11 days

Puppy pile! Britt at the back, big Sam in the middle, little Lexy in front and to the right, and Rain in front and to the left:

My dog

Bear is getting old, he can't really hear, and he doesn't move a whole lot. But he still follows me from room to room, and every morning, I wake up with his shaggy (snoring) self beside me. I got him almost exactly 10 years ago, and it was the best thing I ever did.

He is always up for spontaneous photo shoots:

Sometimes he drifts off:

He is my buddy:

He is my dog:

Apologies to Wick, Lou and Rex, you guys are my dogs too. But you get enough attention, it was the black dog's turn.

More frickin' snow

OK, there's been snow on the ground for over 20 days. Enough! While it is awesome that the dogs aren't tracking in tons of mud and dirt, we all are going crazy from cabin fever! I want my rain back!

Bear occasionally needs to be helped out of snow drifts:

But overall, he is a fan of the snow:

Roy's not so sure about the snow:

Lou uses his huge feet as snowshoes:

Shayne right before he goes under:

On balance, I think the dogs love the snow:

Although with just one trail, it can get congested:

Four-way stop procedure!
